  1. Will it be a box?
consider other options for organization. get beyond the wall…

tactility might imply an examination of surfacing or forming with digital tools. consider this for your system. are you definitely in sheet stock for your material?

i see the diagram of people holding the boxes and i wonder about participation and the conversation Bob had with Willie and me. who gets to move the cubes around? if its tactile, do they feel something different? https://www.google.com/search?q=jaqua+uo+wood&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=K0o&tbo=d&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=ALINUfqfD7DXiALO9oGQDg&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA&biw=1280&bih=606
consider the wood blocks but maybe a more abstract tactile experience or related to how food is displayed. maybe it is reassembled and you include locals in that act but it is locked closed together so at night people can not run off with it.

what does wood afford you with tactility? which wood, which direction of the grain, which dimension, solid or ply? is it different for different people? how does water/ weather affect it.

are you really interested in light.

its all good. start to finalize a design now. that is the fun part.
    and refine it.
